Our New POS System: The Final Step Toward Online Sales

Change is “a-coming”! The next time you visit us, you’ll notice some changes here at BetsyHealth. We have made the necessary switch from our traditional POS system to one that can accommodate our selling products online, which means that very shortly, you’ll be able to order from us using your BetsyHealth APP!

Our new POS system has brought some changes to the way we’ve set up the store. First, instead of having to deduct our everyday discount from the full retail price of our products, those savings are already programmed into our POS system. Therefore, when we scan a product you purchase, the price that rings up on the register already reflects our everyday discount for that product, whether that be 15% off regular retail or 30%, etc. The price that rings up is the retail price MINUS the everyday discount.

For this reason, our receipts no longer show the “savings” like our previous receipts did. However, rest assured, you ARE getting the discounted price on each item. I know because I am the one who calculated all the discounts for each item and put them in the new system. 🙂

Going forward, the only discounts you will see on your receipts will be when we apply extra discounts like our orange card or app specials. These discounts will appear on individual items or as a one line discount, depending on the way we have to apply your discount at the register.

Change can be challenging. We would have loved to keep our systems operating as usual, but going online just would not allow us to do that. We appreciate your patience as we make this transition. We are trying to stay up-to-date with the way people shop in order to continue offering our quality service and education to our customers. The last thing we want is to fall victim to a retail marketplace where too many of our fellow retailers have had to close their doors for good.

I know this is a shift from our usual way of doing things. It’s a compromise we had to make in order to bring our products online and make online buying an easy experience.
