If we are staying true to our motto, always taking your health and your budget to heart®, then a typical trip to Betsy’s is like finding that place where “you wanna go, where everybody knows your name.”  With some customers who have shopped with Betsy since even before she opened her very own health food store, our Betsy’s Health Foods stores are truly blessed by the very best of customers in the world. And since we live in the great state of Texas, that is truly saying something.

In 25 years, we’ve seen many changes in our industry, in our country, and in our family-owned business. We’ve grown to three locations. We’ve seen trends come and go while helping our customers choose the health products that offer the most potential benefit. We’ve expanded our knowledge of our industry through diligent study of both industry news and trade show and manufacturer-sponsored educational opportunities. We’ve seen our world begin to re-define the parameters of retail, and we are striving to meet the ever-changing needs of our loyal customers.

We’ve had fun, too. We’ve celebrated milestones through the years with giveaways, health fairs, and a consumer lecture or two. We’ve kept you up-to-date on health articles that matter to you through printed newsletters, email, blog posts, our website, and our very own Betsy’s Health Foods APP. We keep our e-communication with you limited to what we think you most need and want to know, like upcoming events and especially extra opportunities to save even more than our everyday discounted prices.

To celebrate 25 years, we’ve had 25 days of savings in January and February. We’ve had giveaways beyond our usual monthly drawings during May and June to honor MOM and DAD. We’ve surprised you with special sales on our Betsy’s Basics store brand. When Betsy and Richard opened their first store in 1993, they hoped to continue to help other families make healthy choices when it came to nutritional supplements. They didn’t realize it would become a true family affair, with son John and wife Ramona joining the team and daughter Beth helping out in her jobs as manufacturer rep and now broker, but that’ exactly what happened. Today, we even have family at the base of our staff! Our General Manager, Lindsey, is joined by her youngest sibling, mom, and aunt. Our employees have been with us a long time, part of our extended family at Betsy’s.

Through the years, we’ve seen celebrities like Julia Roberts, Lyle Lovett, and Farah Fawcett walk through our doors.  We’ve been recognized in our trade magazines and even quoted in Newsweek, gaining our own little bit of fame. You’ve named us the Best of Health Foods in the Living Magazine Reader’s Choice contest many years in a row. But our greatest honor is always, always your visit.
