We did things a little differently this past Wellness Wednesday at both Betsy’s Health Foods locations, and our staff as well as our wonderful customers declared the changes a big hit!

Betsy’s Health Foods established our Wellness Wednesdays as a way to thank you each month for taking us to your hearts by being loyal Betsy’s customers.

I read a sign the other day which did a nice job of summing up the difference you make when you choose to shop with a local retailer instead of a big chain. Basically, the sign said:

When you buy from a mom and pop business, you are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home.

You are helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy get his team jersey, a mom or dad put food on the table, a family pay a mortgage, or a student pay for college.

Our customers are our shareholders, and they are the ones we strive to make happy.

Of course, our goal is to make you feel appreciated every time you shop with us, but our Wellness Wednesdays are the days we set aside each month to specifically celebrate YOU, our shareholders.

On November 19, we gave away almost 20 individual product prizes between our Champions Forest and Fallbrook locations. Sixty percent of our customers received bags full of samples, and everyone got a free pen and Zevia cola if they wanted them, along with tasty snacks.  Of course, every customer also received a special newsletter with health information and a great coupon to be used at your next visit.

Our November day was also highlighted with a Country Life products demo at both our locations. Company representative, Angela, gave out taste samples of protein powders and was available to answer questions about this great company and its products.
